Ashley-Rose Machendagoos is an Ojibway artist from Whitesand First Nations.  She grew up in Thunder Bay, where she lived in Fort William First Nation Reservation for most of her childhood. Ashley is a self-taught bead-loom jewelry designer. She specializes in both contemporary and traditional styles, while continually pursuing new teachings on traditional Native American techniques.  Ashley currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Ross Chase is a Toronto-born artist who was raised in Northwestern Ontario. After graduating from the University of Ottawa with a degree in social sciences, Ross helped Ashley create Zhawenim Designs.  With an anthropological passion for cultural preservation and restoration, Ross will continue to grow as an ally to Indigenous peoples and their communities.  Ross currently resides in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Artist & Jewelry Assembler

Stephanie Edgar is a First Nations artist from the Haida and Eabametoong Nations, having cross cultural teachings from the Ojibwa and West Coast Nations.  With these cultural influences, she applies traditional knowledge and teachings to her personal and professional experiences.  Stephanie began her beading journey as a child, under the tutelage of her grandmother.  She is always keen on learning and experimenting with new styles of beading.  Stephanie currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
