Artist, Designer, & Facilitator

My name is Ashley-Rose Machendagoos. I am an Ojibway artist from Whitesand First Nation. I grew up in Thunder Bay, where I lived on Fort William FN for most of my childhood.

I am a self-taught bead loom designer and I learned how to bead earrings while attending the Urban Aboriginal High School Program in Ottawa. 

I specializes in both contemporary and traditional styles, while continually pursuing new teachings on traditional Indigenous crafting techniques.

I have also been teaching beading workshops in person and virtually since 2017.

I currently live in Wahnapitae, Ontario, Canada.
